Project Overview

ProManage was engaged to lead the client team, managing a complex multi-use development, which involved design and construction of an 20-level multi-function tower block that would become the Adelaide CBD’s premier social and community services hub with a mixture of retail, community and cultural spaces, office accommodation, specialist living accommodation for seniors and individuals living with a disability, commercial facilities and public access areas.

The project’s key objective was to deliver a place for people, a community, as well as a place to live or work, while providing a hub for the one hundred social services that Uniting Communities deliver. Supporting State and Federal Government initiatives, the facility sees the area revitalised with direct access to the market precinct through a rejuvenated laneway and public use foyer.

A key element of this project was the significant transformation of the Uniting Communities business as it prepared to occupy and manage this significant structure, and the multiplicity of social and commercial for purpose facilities it would offer to the South Australian community..

Gary Neave was the client’s Program Executive responsible for the management of the delivery of this project. He was a member of the client executive team, providing business leadership to support the relocation, reconfiguration and cultural shift to transition Uniting Communities and their many stakeholders to their new home. ProManage also had a lead role in the concept development, delivery methodology and providing a governance framework that supported the Board, the business and build team. He was also responsible for driving many of the key initiatives that made this building the standout facility that it is.
