Project Overview

ProManage was engaged to manage the relocation of all existing major utility services within the proposed transport project corridor including construction verification, specification and contractual compliance allowing the broader major road and structures construction project to proceed.

The SA Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) elected to undertake the relocation works independent of the head construction contract.  This work was to be delivered in the form of “early works” packages to mitigate any potential delays to major contract works due to utility services relocations and potential disruption.  ProManage was engaged to lead the early works packages with the DPTI delivery team led by Scott Schiphorst as Project Director.

Successful relocation of the major utility assets and achieving construction compliance and asset acceptance by asset owners was critical to the success of the early works program.   ProManage delivered success with DPTI through sound planning and sequencing of works with key stakeholders including SAPN, Telstra, SA Water and DPTI itself.  Regular and constructive leadership and engagement throughout the design and execution phases of work contributed to the successful completion of what were highly disruptive activities within one of South Australia’s most busiest and congested transport corridors.
