Project Overview

As part of an integrated owner’s team, ProManage worked in collaboration with Iluka Resources Ltd to provide procurement planning and strategy development, tender and contract management and construction supervision to the Ambrosia Mine Move Project.

The Jacinth-Ambrosia operations encompasses mining and wet concentration activities with heavy mineral concentrate transported to the Narngulu mineral separation plant in Western Australia for final processing. The operation can produce up to approximately 1000 tonnes per hour of heavy mineral concentrate, which can produce up to approximately 300 kilo tonnes of zircon per annum. As the Jacinth deposit is nearing exhaustion, a second mining unit was established at the location of the Ambrosia deposit to commence mining operations.

ProManage worked with Iluka Resources Ltd. to facilitate the required infrastructure upgrades to bring the Ambrosia deposit into mining while maintaining the ongoing working of their operating facility at Jacinth.  ProManage provided contract and procurement services from the prefeasibility study through to infrastructure upgrades and relocation of the mining unit. Procurement planning, tendering management and contract administration and management were driven by ProManage resources, with construction supervision during the execution phase of the project.
